Implant posts (screwed/not screwed)

The various forms, materials, coatings and surgical procedures have given rise to the development of numerous implant systems. These consist of intercoordinated implantological and prosthetic components and instruments. Cylinder and screwed implants have asserted themselves against blade implants.

After pre-drilling, an implant is inserted as accurately as possible into the partially or completely toothless jaw bone. In a single phase or single sided implantation, prosthetic loading of these implants usually occurs immediately after implantation. Implant integration and prosthetic provision are performed during a single session. In contrast, the dual-phase or dual-sided implant requires a healing period of between three and six months. Only then can it be loaded.
